ASHD Hairdressing has been bringing sustainable, eco-friendly hairdressing to Reigate since October 2019. Founded by senior stylist and colour expert Alex Smith, ASHD is backed by a team of highly skilled stylists who are passionate about ethical, innovative hair care.

We believe in creating beautiful, personalised styles using sustainable techniques and environmentally friendly products—because great hair shouldn’t come at a cost to the planet. But we offer more than just great hair and ethical services. ASHD stands for Alex Smith Hair Design, named after our founder, whose passion lies in creating beautiful hair while championing sustainability. After spending time living in New Zealand, Alex developed a deep appreciation for the environment and the importance of protecting the world around us. This inspired her commitment to Achieving Sustainable Hair Design. Our goal is to continuously reduce our environmental impact within the hair industry—without ever compromising on quality or results.

ECO Heads

We utilise ECO Heads which use up to 65% less water and energy when rinsing colour. The dual filtration system ionizes the water to remove sediment which leaves your hair cleaner and healthier.

AQUIS

We use AQUIS towels made from aquitex, a synthetic material which does not release micro plastics into the water systems. This results in lower pollution and elimination of toxic dyes.
