Here at ASHD Hairdressing, we pride ourselves on being as sustainable as we possible can in the hair industry. It is our mission to consistently reduce our impact on the environment year-on-year. Here are a few examples on how we are achieving this.
Davines
We use Davines Shampoo, Conditioning & Styling Products. They only use ingredients in their shampoo's and conditioners that are naturally derived.
Founded in Parma, Italy, Davines Group started as a research laboratory, producing high-end hair care products for renowned cosmetic companies worldwide.
The formulations favor the use of ingredients of natural origin, are generated with renewable electric energy and packaged minimizing the environmental impact.
In 2018, Davines achieved carbon neutrality in packaging for all of the Group’s product lines, compensating Co2 emissions with the creation and protection of forests in various areas of the world and, in particular, by supporting the Ethio Trees project for the regeneration of land and forests in Ethiopia, supporting local farming communities for the procurement of drinking water

We use Wella Colour as we feel they offer a wide range of colour and great result every time. Wella are a sustainable business in their operations, Using LED Lighting, Offering free bicycles to the all their staff to cycle between campus’s. All of their packaging is recyclable.
Having teamed up with Unicef - WELLA-UNICEF offers vulnerable young people in emerging countries a more beautiful outlook through life skills training and hairdressing education. In Brazil, Wella and Unicef are working together to boost the social and professional development of up to 7,500 young people in 1,300 districts.
ASHD offers refill services for shampoo and conditioner to all our clients to encourage the reuse of plastic.
